Parking Garage & Deck Marking
Numbered stalls, level wayfinding, pedestrian routes and directional graphics that make a multi-level deck legible at 5 mph.
The problem
What it costs to leave it
Structured parking lives or dies on legibility. A driver entering a deck has a few seconds and poor light to work out which way the aisle runs, where the ramp is and which level they are on.
When that information is missing you get wrong-way movements at ramp heads, cars stopped in aisles while people hunt for a space, and pedestrians walking in traffic lanes because there is no marked route.
Garage marking is also a maintenance problem, not a one-off. Tyre scrub on a concrete deck wears a line far faster than on open asphalt, particularly on ramps and turns.

Materials & standards
The right product for the traffic it takes
Coatings built for concrete decks
Concrete needs a different product from asphalt. We use deck-appropriate epoxy and traffic coatings that bond to sealed concrete and stand up to tyre scrub on ramps and turns, where ordinary paint wears through in months.
Working in an occupied building
Enclosed decks trap fumes, so material choice matters as much as scheduling. We use low-odour products where ventilation is limited and work level by level overnight so the deck stays open.
Marked to MUTCD
Arrows, stop bars, crosswalks and chevrons follow MUTCD conventions, so the markings mean what drivers already expect them to mean.

FAQ
Questions we get asked
Something not covered? Call (773) 858-1077 and ask.
Yes — that is the normal arrangement. We phase the work level by level or bay by bay, usually overnight, and hand each section back before the morning. You will never lose the whole deck at once.
We use low-odour materials where ventilation is limited and coordinate with your building management on ventilation and timing. Tell us about air handling and residential floors above at the site visit.
It depends heavily on where it is. Open bays hold up for years; ramps, turns and entrance aprons take constant tyre scrub and wear much faster. We usually specify a harder-wearing material in those areas so the whole deck ages at a similar rate.
Yes, including renumbering an existing deck. If you are reassigning bays we can remove the old numbers rather than marking over them, so tenants are not reading two sets of digits.
Yes. Coloured bay pads, EV icons and the associated signage are part of our specialty marking work and we do them in structured parking regularly.
